Zeta Associates produces sophisticated systems (and their components) for the gathering, processing, storing, and analysis of modern communications signals. The use of the MIDAS (Multi-user Interactive Digital Analysis System) software environment, which is the basis for most of our products, allows rapid development at moderate cost in short time frames. This is due to the tremendous flexibility and agility MIDAS grants in today’s environment of rapidly evolving communications signaling technology. This provides Zeta a competitive edge in the new world of previously unseen and swiftly changing customer requirements.
Before they can be processed by software, signals must be “snatched” from the air and converted to digital form. In order to best meet our systems’ requirements for data capture and conversion we have found it best in many cases to build our own hardware for these functions. Accordingly we design and manufacture RF switches, block down converters (tuners), synthesizers, A/D converters, and complete data acquisition front ends. Where appropriate, some of the actual signal processing may be accomplished by Zeta loaded FPGA’s or third party MIDAS compatible PCI-based data acquisition and processing accelerator cards which are integrated with the more conventional components.
